Mark Steinberg Weil Early Career Fellowship

The Weil post-doctoral fellowship was established to foster the professional development of gifted scholars, further enrich Washington University’s vigorous research environment and advance public humanities through productive interdisciplinary interaction. Fellows are scholars from within a broad range of humanities disciplines or interdisciplinary fields and are experienced in community-based projects, data science in the humanities, and/or the urban humanities.

Fellows are in residence during the fellowship period, apart from research-related travel. They teach two courses per year related to their interests and pursue their own research project. Alongside the Faculty Fellows, Graduate Fellows and Kling Undergraduate Honors Fellows, the Weil Fellows participate in the intellectual life of the center and of other units relevant to the fellows’ research interests.
