Set in the chaotic world of Weimar Berlin, Cabaret is a phantasmagorical theater of pleasure, churning with hedonistic “camp,” that dances wildly on the edge of disaster. As the looming Nazi storm becomes terrifyingly real, the play asks the challenging, and deeply resonant, question: “What would you do?”
