Alex Ullman is a writer, teacher and musician. His current book project, titled “This Feeling Tone,” explores the intersections of diasporic cultural identity and sonic performance practices such as poetry readings, radio broadcasts, headphone theater and musicals. His work has been published in venues such as PMLA and the San Francisco Chronicle. He holds a PhD in English from UC Berkeley and a BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania.
