Meredith Kelling

Assistant Director for Student Research and Engagement

Meredith Kelling is the assistant director of student research and engagement. She engages with both undergraduate and graduate students to find research opportunities and support student pathways through the humanities at WashU. Previously, Meredith was a Mellon Postdoctoral Scholar with WashU’s Prison Education Project and helped develop their program at a prison for women in Vandalia, Missouri. Earlier, she served as a predoctoral planning fellow for Freedom, Information, Acts, a StudioLab course that explored the historiography of the Civil Rights Movement and worked on a project to make digitized materials from WashU Film and Media Libraries’ Henry Hampton Collection accessible to students in the Prison Education Project. She earned a PhD from WashU’s Department of English in 2021 and is an area native.
