    Araba A.Z. Osei-Tutu, PhD, is a lecturer at the Department of Teacher Education in the School of Education and Leadership at the University of Ghana. She is also a BECHS-Africa and BANGA-Africa Fellow. She holds a PhD (in Curriculum Studies) from Purdue University, West Lafayette (USA). Osei-Tutu is an African-centered methodologist who designed and developed the African Oral Traditional Storytelling (AOTS) Framework. Her research interests are in curriculum studies, multiculturalism, inclusive education, African-centered literacy, indigenous language and cultural transmission among African immigrants, African feminisms and postcolonialism/decolonialism in education.

    She is currently working on projects centered on African oral storytelling: storying as method and analysis across indigenous cultures, sexual harassment of female teachers in boys’ senior high schools, and African orality and storytelling as an approach in literacy research and education.
